On September 2, 2025, the Bergisch Land Mechanical Engineering Network and netzwerk-surface.net met at the Bergisch Museum Railways.
The presentations ranged from AI in education to cooperation in mechanical engineering and new research approaches in surface technology, to clear words from Dr. Andreas Groß (Berger Group) on customs and trade policy, armament, and the warning: Once companies move away, they don’t come back.
A special highlight was the presentation of the membership certificate to FBS Balke International GmbH & co KG. Managing Director Dennis Cavallaro accepted the membership certificate – and with that, F-B-S Balke is now another member of both networks. At the same time, this accession marks a kind of milestone: the 50th member of the Bergisch Land Mechanical Engineering Network!
